Mike Ejeagha, born April 4, 1930, is a prominent Nigerian folklorist, songwriter, and musician from Enugu State, known for his contributions to Igbo highlife music. Active since the mid-20th century, Ejeagha is recognized for his storytelling through music, blending guitar with Igbo proverbs and lyrics. His career, which began with his first hit in 1960, has spanned over six decades, during which he has produced over 300 recordings documenting Igbo folklore. His 1983 song "Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche" gained renewed popularity in 2024 through a viral dance challenge.
